What it means
A pedestrian crossing is ahead. Slow down and watch for people crossing the road.
Yellow diamonds (and five-sided yellow-green school signs) warn of hazards ahead.

How to recognise it
A yellow diamond with a black figure of a person walking.
Where you will see it
Ahead of a pedestrian crossing, far enough back to give you time to slow down before you reach it.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Slow down and watch both sides of the road for people waiting to cross or already crossing.
- 2.Be ready to stop and yield to pedestrians at the crossing.
- 3.Never pass a vehicle that has stopped for a pedestrian: it may be hiding someone in the crosswalk.
