Chevron (sharp bend)
What it means
Chevrons mark a sharp bend in the road. The road turns in the direction the chevron points; slow down and follow it.
Yellow diamonds (and five-sided yellow-green school signs) warn of hazards ahead.

How to recognise it
A tall yellow rectangle with a large black chevron (an arrowhead shape) pointing the way the road bends.
Where you will see it
At a sharp bend itself, where it shows at a glance which way the road goes, especially at night.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Slow down before the bend; a chevron means the turn is sharp.
- 2.Steer the way the chevron points and keep inside your lane through the bend.
