What it means
A school sign with no speed sign attached marks a school area. There is no special speed limit, but children may be walking or crossing, so drive with extra care.
White with black or red; a red circle with a slash means prohibited, a green circle means permitted.

How to recognise it

What to do when you see it
- 1.Drive with extra care: children may be walking beside or crossing the road.
- 2.Be ready to slow down or stop; the normal speed limit still applies.
