What it means
The lane ahead is too narrow for a car and a bicycle side by side, so cyclists may use the whole lane. Stay behind them until you can pass safely.
Yellow diamonds (and five-sided yellow-green school signs) warn of hazards ahead.

How to recognise it

Where you will see it
Lanes too narrow for a car and a bicycle to travel side by side, such as on some bridges and older streets.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Expect a cyclist to ride in the middle of the lane: they are allowed to use all of it here.
- 2.Stay behind the cyclist; do not squeeze past inside the same lane.
- 3.Pass only by moving into another lane, when it is clear and safe.
On the knowledge test
The guide says this sign warns that cyclists are allowed full use of the lane ahead because it is too narrow for side-by-side driving. The answer is to wait behind, not to pass within the lane.
