Reserved lane
What it means
The diamond marks a lane reserved for the vehicles pictured, such as buses, taxis or bicycles. If hours and days are shown, the lane is reserved only at those times; otherwise it is reserved at all times.
White with black or red; a red circle with a slash means prohibited, a green circle means permitted.

How to recognise it
A white upright sign with a white diamond on a black panel, symbols of the vehicles allowed (such as a bus, taxi or bicycle), sometimes hours and days, and an arrow down to the lane.
Where you will see it
Over or beside curb lanes on busy city streets, with diamond markings painted in the lane.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Stay out of the lane unless your vehicle is one the sign shows.
- 2.Read the hours and days: if they are shown, the lane is reserved only then; if not, it is reserved at all times.
