How to recognise it
A white upright rectangle with a red circle and bar over a black stop-sign shape, the days and times the ban applies, and arrows at the bottom.
Where you will see it
Busy streets and corners where a stopped vehicle would block traffic or vehicles that need extra room to turn.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Do not stop here at all during the days and times shown, not even to drop someone off.
- 2.Use the arrows to see which side of the sign the ban covers.
On the knowledge test
Stopping is stricter than parking. A question that asks whether you may stop briefly under this sign during its hours has the answer no.
