Green arrow with green light
What it means
You may proceed in the direction of the arrow without yielding. You may also go in the other directions the green light allows, when it is safe and legal to do so.

How to recognise it
The green lens lit, with a green arrow lit in an extra lens beside it.
Where you will see it
Signalized intersections that give one movement, usually a left turn, an advance protected phase.
What to do when you see it
- 1.In the direction of the arrow, you may enter the intersection and proceed without yielding.
- 2.You may also go in the other directions the green light allows, when it is safe and legal to do so.
On the knowledge test
The key phrase is “without yielding” in the arrow’s direction. Once the arrow goes out and only the solid green remains, a left turn must again yield to oncoming traffic.
