Solid green light
What it means
You may go through the intersection without stopping, but you must yield to oncoming traffic when turning left and to pedestrians in the crosswalk when turning. Expect a green that has been on a while to turn yellow soon.

How to recognise it
The green lens lit steadily: the bottom lens on a vertical signal, the right lens on a horizontal one.

Every signalized intersection.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Go through the intersection without stopping when it is clear.
- 2.Turning left, yield to oncoming traffic; turning right or left, yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk.
- 3.Expect a “stale” green, one that has been on a while, to turn yellow. If the pedestrian signal shows DON’T WALK, be ready to stop.
