What it means
You must not turn around to go back the way you came at this location.

How to recognise it
A white square with a red circle and diagonal red bar over a black U-shaped arrow.
Where you will see it
At intersections and along roads where turning around would be dangerous.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Do not turn around to go back the way you came here.
- 2.Continue to a place where turning around is legal and safe, or use another route.
On the knowledge test
Even without this sign, a U-turn is not allowed at an intersection with traffic lights unless a device permits it; in an urban area it is also not allowed between intersections.
