Destination and distance
What it means
Green destination signs give the direction of a place, the distance to it in kilometres, or both.
Green, blue and brown signs give directions, distances and services.

How to recognise it
A green rectangle with white place names and, beside them, the distance in kilometres or an arrow.
Where you will see it
Along highways, before junctions and after leaving towns.
What to do when you see it
- 1.Use the arrow to pick your lane or turn in good time.
- 2.Use the distance to plan fuel stops and rest breaks.
